Laura Lee Taylor
MD
Dr. Taylor is truly a “homegrown” doctor having grown up just a few miles from our current location. She graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1996 and Auburn University in 2000. She attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine from 2001-2005 and completed her family medicine residency in 2009 at The University of Alabama School of Medicine Huntsville Family Medicine Program. She and her husband Jamie have two children, Jack and Addi as well as a zoo of cats, dogs, horses, sheep, goats, and chickens.
Matt Headley
CRNP
Matt graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2012 before pursuing a nursing career. He continued his education at MTSU receiving his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. Matt has worked at both Williamson Medical Center and Huntsville Hospital as a registered nurse on the orthopedic floor and Neuro ICU before earning his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Matt precepted with Dr. Taylor throughout nurse practitioner school and joined the office upon graduation. Matt has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017.
Lacia Chapman
MD
Dr. Chapman joins us from Northern Virginia, where she practiced in the Department of Family Medicine at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. With over a decade of experience practicing as a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician in both outpatient and inpatient settings, Dr. Chapman is equipped to provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages and stages in life. A few areas Dr. Chapman has developed special interests include: women’s health, behavioral health, sports medicine, and dermatology-just to name a few! Dr. Chapman also offers outpatient procedures including vasectomies, dermatological procedures, and musculoskeletal procedures.
Dr. Chapman is a veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as the 46th Air Support Battalion Flight Surgeon with the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade. Dr. Chapman deployed with the 28th Combat Support Hospital during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Following her military service, she continued to practice the full scope of Family Medicine.
Shayna Kidd
CRNP
Shayna Kidd graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2010. She worked as an RN at Huntsville Hospital on an orthopedic floor for 3 years and the Surgical Trauma ICU for 7 years. She then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2018 and two years later her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Shayna precepted with Dr. Taylor throughout nurse practitioner school and joined the office upon graduation.
